I was born in an inner-city poor community of Brooklyn, New York. Me and my sisters were raised in low-income public housing until my folks scraped together enough to purchase their first house in Coney Island when I was 16. I have never known my biological father, and was raised by a step-father who was angry and frustrated and would often take it out on me, and by a mother who wouldn’t intervene.
Most of my life I heard stinging, painful words like “You’re no good…” or “You’ll never amount to anything…” and more. I jumped at the chance to leave home when I was 17 years old to join the Army, got married, and in 1984 my son was born. In March of 2009 my wife walked out with my son; she couldn’t take the punishment I was doing to myself, both physically and emotionally — over the years I had ballooned up from the 186 pounds to a staggering weight.
You see, I would go to work, come home, drink Pepsi, eat food, play video games usually `til past midnight, go to sleep, and do it all over again the next day. When she left, it got worse food-wise… I grew to the point of consuming a 3-litre bottle of soda every day, sometimes two 2-litres and junk food. I didn’t cook, I ordered out. McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell, Dominos, Chinese Food, whatever I could get a hold of.
I ballooned up… big. When I saw my doctor, I had hit 509 pounds. Yes, 509 pounds (not a typo). Doc sat down, looked me in the eyes and said to me “Son, you need to get healthy and lose weight. If you do not, in a year’s time you will have a heart attack or stroke because of the weight you are carrying around, and you will not survive.” That shook me to my core, deeply. I didn’t know what to do, but I knew I needed to do something. Others lost 50 pounds or more, why couldn’t I?
What did I do that transformed my life? And more importantly, is it applicable to you? The answer is a resounding YES!
I have come to learn through my mistakes, struggles, and trial-an-error, that there are strategies that can help you lose weight fast, regain your confidence, give you new found energy, and give you hope! It’s important that I tell you, this is my own experience, my own results. This may or may not be your experience – you may lose more, or you may lose less. What I am sharing with you is what happened to me.

Why?
Because I believe in paying it forward… two people invested in me to help me get healthy and walk alongside me in my journey to recovery and health.
